About this guide
GlobalBizID is a small, independent website about one thing: getting a DUNS number as a Malaysian business, including for the App Store and Google Play.
Who runs it
Edwin Tan writes and maintains this guide from Malaysia, and it is published independently. It isn't a consultancy or an agent, and it doesn't sell any DUNS service. Any income comes from the advertising described under Privacy below.
Every fact on the two guides comes from the official D&B, Apple, Google and SSM pages listed at the end of each guide.
Not affiliated with D&B, Apple or Google
This site is not Dun & Bradstreet, D&B Malaysia, Apple or Google, and none of them has reviewed or endorsed it. D-U-N-S is a registered trademark of Dun & Bradstreet. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions, and Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC. The names appear here only to describe their services.
There's no application form, lookup or upload anywhere on this site. We can't request, find, change or speed up a DUNS number, and we can't contact D&B for you. Please don't send us company documents.
How we check facts
Each fact comes from the organisation that controls it: D&B and D&B Malaysia for the number itself, Apple and Google for their developer programmes, SSM and LHDN for Malaysian registration and tax numbers, and the US General Services Administration for SAM.gov. Sources are linked where they're used and listed at the end of each guide.
When sources disagree, the page says so instead of quietly picking one. Google's two help centres, for example, give 30 days and 28 days for getting a number, and both figures are shown.
Each page shows the date its facts were last checked. We go back over the sources at least every three months, and sooner if we hear that Apple, Google or D&B have changed something. Spotted something out of date? Tell us, and the fix goes into the log at the bottom of this page.

Privacy
There are no accounts, forms or comments here, so the site never asks for your personal data. Whatever personal data does reach us is handled in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
What gets collected
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to keep the site running and secure. The site doesn't use a visitor analytics tool. If you email us, your address and message are used to reply and nothing else. You won't be added to a list.
Advertising cookies
This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to show you ads based on your earlier visits to this website and to other websites. Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners choose ads for you based on those visits.
You can turn off personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of many other vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info. Your browser settings also let you block or delete cookies.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you can ask what personal data we hold about you (normally just an email thread), ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to us keeping it. We'll delete it on request. Write to hello@globalbizid.my.
